Defining Characteristics: Having lived most of her life so far in the dredges and darkness of society and the force, Janara loves the light. She wants to bring everyone she ever encounters to it, but won't hesitate to fight for herself and the others when threatened. Left over from her slave days is a keen intelligence, honed through stress and necessity.  In situations of stress she is easily outgoing and sociable, but in reality the woman is quiet and prefers to remain anonymous. Her private life remains private, and with the skills to deflect most social inquiry away. Janara is queen of distraction. Though not the strongest force user, or the best swordsman, she is able to captivate her audience and keep their eyes locked on.

Bio: Born on Tantooine, Janara was suddenly an orphan at the tender age of 8 after slavers came and took her parents. Her parents allowed themselves to be taken in exchange for protecting Janara, she escaping in to the night. Joining the crowd of children on the street she had an unlucky encounter with the slavers again, but one of the older boys rescued her. She and the boy became tight friends, doing odd jobs here and there to survive. One day while she was moving about without her companion she encountered the slavers once again. She was unable to elude them this time. They took her and promptly sold her in to slavery.
For six years she served, danced, and grew skilled in using the force in subtle ways. Suggesting those who are angry away from her. Urging those who would at least be kind closer to her. She had issues, however, whenever she was scared. A simple push became a throw, tossing her attacker away from her. Because of it she was sold repeatedly, the quality varying between each owner. She never remained long with those who were abusive, because they  would soon find themselves tossed away. All throughout her enslavement Janara was a quick study, doing her best to learn the new language or perfect the one with which she was to interact with others.
Six years later while dancing at some bar she noticed a man entering the place of ill-repute. He and his apprentice spoke with the bartender, and then promptly found a place to sit. Eager to get a good tip Janara made her way over and began to dance, unknowingly reaching out and using the Force to persuade them. The master stopped his apprentice, smiling before giving a massive tip. Excited she moved off, making her way back and making sure they understood her gratitude. That night the owner tried to sell her off to another, but the Master came and managed to convince the creature to sell her to him. The last thing she expected was the man to introduce himself as a Jedi Master, and invite her to the temple. She went whole hearted, excited to start a new chapter of her life.
Upon arrival Janara was quickly placed with a master to catch her up and then continue to teach her how to wield a lightsaber and wield the force more knowingly. Her master was fond of and taught her in depth how to wield two lightsabers at once, focusing heavily on forms VI and Jar'kai. Always teaching to not give her cards away all at once she sought to also become moderately skilled in single-handed wielding. She travelled all over with her master on various missions, per the Jedi way, and expanded her larger vocabulary even more. They returned to the temple, between missions, when the republic attacked. During the skirmish her master sent her to go on ahead, and was shot down not long after.

Benchmarks:
Fighting Style: Fond of dual-wielding Janara always has two lightsabers on her at all times, but will often approach a fight with a single one openly activated and in use. Her attacks are aggressive. She goes as much as she can for the quick kill, often risking herself more than is acceptable. Due to her inexperience with dual wielding she is more uncertain with using both blades at once.

Agility: A pair of quick feet and greater than normal control over her body makes Janara hard to catch. Dancing for several years only makes this easier for her to maintain.

Strength: Janara can easily carry her weight, but isn't one of the stronger people in the room. She's sooner relent and try for a different angle rather than continue in a muscle-fest

Endurance: Hours of dancing and serving on end, for years, has made this lady's endurance crazy. She knows how to pace herself, but still make it seem like she's putting it all in at once. Janara knows how to push herself, though, and still come out running in the end.
