Out of Character Ranks:
These ranks coincide with the in-character ranks; they are for the purpose of keeping track of your age, experience, and level of power. These ranks should not be referenced in-character, as the ranks above are the continuity-based ranks of the Jedi Order.

Jedi Master: A Jedi Master is one of the highest ranks attainable in the Order; their understanding of the Force is near omniscient and their skill with a lightsaber is awe-inspiring. They are not gods, by any means, but they are some of the most wise and powerful Jedi that the Order has to offer. The Jedi Master is typical over the age of 40 years old.

Senior Knight: A Senior Jedi Knight is a Knight that has been training for some time, and trained at least one pupil to Knighthood. Their usage of the Force and combat prowess is to be feared by those aligned with the Dark Side, for they are an enemy to respect. A Senior Jedi Knight is rapidly approaching becoming a Jedi Master, and is typically aged between 28-40 years old.

Junior Knight: A Junior Jedi Knight is a Knight that has very recently passed their Jedi Trials, and is ready to take on a learner of their own. They are primarily autonomous, though occasionally require insight from more experienced Knights, Masters, or Council members. A Knight's prowess with the Force and a lightsaber are both exceptional, though there is still much room for improvement, and they should not be wary of asking more experienced Jedi for assistance. The age range of a Junior Knight could be anywhere from 18-30

Senior Padawan: A Jedi Padawan who has trained with his master for many years - between seven to ten - and is very nearly ready to undergo to the Jedi Trials and become a Knight himself. A Senior Padawan's age typically ranges 14-20 years old.

Junior Padawan: A child who has been taken on by a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master as an apprentice. Once taken, hair-growing species were required to have a long braid of hair grown out behind their right ear; this would be severed in the case of their promotion to the rank of Jedi Knight. Typically, the Junior Padawan's age ranges from 10-15 years old.

Jedi Initiate/Youngling: Children ranging from adolescence to pre-teen years, taken from their homeworld as infants and placed under the care of the Jedi Order. Raised in the temples their entire lives, they are unaccustomed to the ways of the world outside of the Order, and typically very naive and untrained; should an Initiate not be taken on as an apprentice by the age of thirteen, he or she would be placed in the Jedi Service Corps. Depending on their specialty, the Initiate would be placed in one of four branches of the Corps: the Agricultural Corps, the Medical Corps, the Educational Corps, or the Exploration Corps. The Jedi Initiate's age ranges from 6-13 years old.
